KEITH PRUTZMAN HAS 3 SCHAEFFER’S HARLEY / BUCK RUBS ’10 SPRINT CARS
Hamburg, PA (February 11, 2010) – Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson Motorcycles of Orwigsburg, PA and Buck Rubs Gentleman’s Club of Reading, PA return as major sponsor of Keith Prutzman and the Prutzman/Powley #28 sprint car racing team for the 2010 with three Maxim sprint cars ready for action in both 358 and 360 action.
Keith Prutzman will continue in 358 sprint car competition in Central Pennsylvania this season at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, PA on Saturday nights and Trail-Way Speedway in Hanover, PA on Friday nights. The team also plans a weekend of 360 sprint action at Knoxville Speedway in Knoxville, Iowa.
“I really cannot wait for the season to get started,” shared Prutzman. “Near the end of last season, we learned some things regarding the overall car suspension that really made a huge difference. Sometimes the basic things you as take for granted are not always true. The change made us a contender in both heats and features. We’ll be better right out of the box this year.”
Schaeffer’s Harley Davidson and Buell Motorcycle Sales and Service, Inc. is a family-owned business started in 1967 and this 43-year tradition has provided the strong base that has grown to the current award winning, 31,000 square foot facility at 1123 Brick Hill Road in Orwigsburg, PA. But one key thing has not changed is the importance of customer satisfaction and a warm, friendly, family atmosphere.
Buck Rubs is Reading, PA’s Premier Gentleman’s Club off Route 61 just north of Reading at 89 Berkley Road. Buck Rubs, a BYOB club, requires patrons to be 18 years of age or older to enter but they must be 21 years old and have I.D. to drink alcohol. The club opens 6pm Monday through Saturday evenings. On Monday through Thursday nights closing time is midnight or later with “Half Price Cover Nights” on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Fridays and Saturdays closing is 1am or later. Buck Rubs is closed on Sundays.
Prutzman will have three Maxim sprint cars including a new totally refitted Maxim Big Max that will run a 358 engine at Lincoln Speedway which is white with eye-catching orange, tangerine, yellow and pink swoosh-style lower panels. The 28 team’s standard Maxim will feature the light blue paint scheme and start the season as the Trail-Way 358 car. Finally last year’s purple, orange and yellow Maxim Big Max will carry the 360 c.i. engine. All cars were painted and lettered by DELCO Signs.
Curt Zimmerman of Curt’s Racing Engines is a big part of a dedicated crew which includes Steve “Zeke” Powley, Dave Scott, Scottie Isett, John Neidlinger and Jack Ramsey. In addition to Schaeffer’s Harley Davidson and Buck Rubs, the team enjoys strong support from Curt’s Racing Engines; TRS Welding & Fabrication of Boyertown, PA; McKeansburg Hotel in New Ringgold, PA; Westy Bar & Grill in West Hamburg, PA, Haus Automotive of Hamburg, PA; Wings Unlimited of Biglerville, PA; B’s Automotive Sales & Service in Pottsville, PA; Kurtz Brothers Glass of Tamaqua, PA; Karaoke Knights of Reading, Pa; Wide Open Expeditions of New York; Blake Tobias Motorsports (BTM) Web Design of Mohrsville, PA; and The Joie of Seating.
Three of these sponsors are new to Prutzman-Powley Racing in 2010. Wide Open Expeditions specializes in fishing and hunting trips to the Pulaski, NY area near Lake Ontario. Many outdoor opportunities are available including Salmon River fishing for Chinook (king) and Coho (silver) salmon, and steelhead and brown trout; hunting for turkey, grouse, pheasant and quail; and prime lodging and services for snowmobilers with direct access to the extensive snowmobiling trail systems throughout Central and Northern New York. Call Craig at (484) 809-6363 for details.
Karaoke Knights is a DJ service out of Reading, PA. They can provide all your DJ needs including karaoke by calling (610) 507-6611. Kurtz Brothers Glass of Tamaqua is a relatively new venture but there is no lack of experience and knowledge. The Kurtz Brothers have taken years of hands-on experience as glaziers to start their own venture providing services to the greater Schuylkill, Carbon, Lehigh and Berks County area.
The newest car out of the Prutzman/Powley racing stable made its public debut on Saturday, February 13 as part of Schaeffer’s Harley-Davidson Race Day at their Orwigsburg showroom. Starting on February 21, the team will have the eye-catching 28 on display in the week-long Racing Legends Reunion and Car Show at the Reading Fairgrounds Square Mall off the 5th Street Highway in Reading, PA.
